Since Windows 10 the security reinforcements make software downloads more complicated. You will find below some tips.

Active Defender

Warning

During tests on factory-issued Windows 10 machines with Defender active and all related options, we found that when downloading with the Chrome browser, the security scan failed. A download with the home browser Edge succeeds, and this even if the message "Running security scan" remains displayed.

The installation program is ready to be launched in the computer download folder.

S mode

The S mode that appeared since version 1O only allows applications from the Microsoft Store and requires Microsoft Edge for secure browsing.

This mode prohibits the installation of an application from Internet sites

Windows 11 in S mode is a version of Windows 11 that's streamlined for security and performance, while providing a familiar Windows experience. To increase security, it allows only apps from Microsoft Store, and requires Microsoft Edge for safe browsing.

If you have a Windows 11 in S mode edition installed, you will only be able to install apps from The Microsoft Store only. If you want to install an app that isn't available in the Microsoft Store, you'll need to switch out of S mode.

If you have a Windows S mode edition installed, you'll need to switch out of S mode for Logfly installation
